Bearers' Schedule

your schedule SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – Due to the Valero Texas Open moving to May of 2009, those Standard Bearers that put in 18 hours or more during the 2008 Tournament AND sign-up during the 2008 tournament for the 2009 tournament will be guaranteed at least one carry on Saturday or Sunday at the 2009 Tournament. Furthermore, those Standard Bearers who work BOTH 2008 & 2009, and sign-up for the 2010 tournament at the PGA Village course, will (based on numbers needed) carry on Sunday during the 2010 Final round. Also, we anticipate a waiting list for Standard Bearers in 2009 and 2010. The lottery system will end in 2010. That said, we will be moving to a seniority based schedule. Those with the most years will get to work and select their schedule for Monday thru Friday of Tournament week. Weekends will still be luck of the draw, with seniority and points being factored into who works the weekend and the leader board. Details are still being worked, but those working 18 hours or more during the 2008, 2009, and 2010 tournaments will be considered over all others. PLEASE REMEMBER – You can always show-up and assist us even though you are
not scheduled to work. We can always
use the help inside the tent or driving people to the course. We try to reward the people who have taken time out to be available whenever we need them. The Standard Bearers chairs have been blessed with some truly dedicated volunteers! But, we also have a few people who want to do the minimum to get their round of free golf. We will try to accommodate everyone's schedules. If you have any questions, suggestions, or complaints PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
